After servicing over 1,600 eBikes, we’ve seen firsthand how the standard manufacturer warranty leaves riders frustrated, out of pocket, and waiting weeks for parts from overseas. We built our Extended Warranty and Service Contract programs specifically to fix that — giving you real protection, real service, and real peace of mind.
The Problem With Standard eBike Warranties
Here’s what most eBike owners don’t know until it’s too late
The eBike industry standard is a 12-month manufacturer warranty covering parts only. That means:
- All labor charges are passed on to you — 100%
- The manufacturer’s parts reimbursement may not match what a shop charges — any overage is your responsibility
- Parts are now sent directly to the customer — from China — typically taking 2 to 6 weeks
- Before they ship anything, you’ll need to email or call, submit photos and video, and complete multiple troubleshooting steps at their direction
- Once parts arrive, it’s on you to find a professional or do the work yourself
That is no way to enjoy eBike ownership. Our programs are designed so you never have to deal with any of that.
Extended Warranty Program
Parts coverage that mirrors and extends your manufacturer warranty — without the runaround
Our Extended Warranty picks up where your manufacturer warranty leaves off, providing parts replacement coverage for 1, 2, or 3 additional years. Same coverage concept as the manufacturer — but handled by us, locally, without the overseas wait or the troubleshooting gauntlet.
Coverage Options
- 1-Year Extended Warranty: $99/year + $99 enrollment fee
- 2-Year Extended Warranty: $198 total ($99/yr × 2) + $99 enrollment fee
- 3-Year Extended Warranty: $297 total ($99/yr × 3) + $99 enrollment fee
How Billing Works
- The $99 enrollment fee is due upfront at time of enrollment
- The remaining warranty cost is billed monthly over 12 months
What’s Not Covered
- Battery (after the manufacturer warranty expires)
- Wear items: chains, cables, brake pads, tires, tubes, hydraulic bleeds
- Labor (covered separately under the Service Contract)
Service Contract
Where the real value is — the lowest possible cost of eBike ownership, with your ride always safe and well-tuned
Our Service Contract is available for 1 to 4 years and is designed to pair with the Extended Warranty for total peace of mind — though it can be purchased independently. It covers scheduled maintenance, labor, and gives you ongoing discounts on wear items and non-covered parts.
What’s Included Every Year
- Quarterly on-site inspections with minor adjustments as needed (4 visits per year)
- 1 annual tune-up included
- Full labor coverage at our standard $149/hr eBike rate — for any covered repairs, adjustments, or part replacements
Wear Item & Non-Covered Parts Discount
Items not covered under the warranty (chains, cables, brake pads, tires, tubes, hydraulic bleeds, battery after expiry) and their associated installation labor are eligible for a discount based on your contract term:
- 1-Year Contract: 10% off non-covered parts & labor
- 2-Year Contract: 20% off non-covered parts & labor
- 3-Year Contract: 30% off non-covered parts & labor
- 4-Year Contract: 40% off non-covered parts & labor
Pricing
- $249.00 per year + $99.00 enrollment fee
- The $99 enrollment fee is due upfront
- The remaining balance is billed monthly
Service Call Fee
All visits under the Service Contract and Extended Warranty — including quarterly inspections, annual tune-ups, and warranty service calls — are subject to the standard service call fee of $29.99 per visit, plus any additional mileage per our standard service call policy.
Qualification Requirements
To enroll in either the Extended Warranty or Service Contract:
- Preferred: Bike must be new and never ridden at time of enrollment
- Previously ridden bikes: A paid Comprehensive Inspection is required at the customer’s expense. Any covered components found to be sub-par must be replaced or will be excluded from coverage before enrollment is approved.
- MBP reserves the right to refuse any bike for enrollment.
